Camille is a screenwriter & director interested in independent cinema, global
narratives & a return to shooting on celluloid.
Having graduated from the University of Southern California with a Bachelor's in
Film and Television Production, she has directed many short films, including A
Prescribed Burn of a Savanna Oak and Framed, and written several feature
screenplays. Her short films have screened at local and international film
festivals, including New York Indie Short Film Festival, Mirada Corta
International Film Festival and Paris Short Film Festival.
In August 2023, she participated in PlayLab Films Creator’s Lab with
Apichatpong Weerasethakul in Yucatán, Mexico. Under the guidance of
the Thai director, she directed the short film I Caught a Glimpse of Myself, Briefly.
Her interests lie in non-distinct geographical identities, classical dance,
slow narratives and global music. Camille believes cinema is the most sustainable
and affordable way to travel, and we have yet to explore its full potential.
She is also the founder of WabiSabi Films, LLC, a production company interested in slow
cinema, shooting on celluloid and independent and sustainable film practices.
Camille works as a freelance videographer, editor & writer, working for
companies such as Illumine Service Foundation, 1,000 Dreams Fund & TDA Global Cycling.
